An example of AJ's daily routine:
- ~6:30 am ... EST --> Awaken & check my whiteboard for my day's schedule.
- ~6:45 am --> Immediately start writing/typing books on my laptop.
- ~7:00 am --> Receive first [of five on weekDAYs] meal/feeding via peg-tube.
- ~7:15 am --> Buzz for my caregiver to bring my walker & to put on my shoes. He then just spots me, as I walk--with my walker--to my toilet to STAND--courtesy of my toilet-rails--to urinate.
- ~7:20 --> Walk to my sink to STAND & wash my hands--with liquid soap.
- ~7:25 --> Walk back to get in bed.
- ~7:30 --> Receive second feeding.
- ~7:45 --> Buzz for my caregiver to bring my walker & to put on my shoes. He then just spots me, as I walk--with my walker--to my toilet to urinate.
- ~7:50 --> Walk to my sink to STAND & wash my hands--with liquid soap.
- ~7:55 --> Walk back to get in bed.
- ~8:00 --> Third feeding.
- ~8:15 --> Buzz for my caregiver to bring my walker & to put on my shoes. He then just spots me, as I walk--with my walker--to my toilet to urinate.
- ~8:20 --> Walk to my sink to STAND & wash my hands--with liquid soap.
- ~8:25 --> Walk back to get in bed.
- ~8:30 --> Fourth feeding.
- ~8:45 --> Walk to my sink to STAND & wash my hands--with liquid soap.
- ~8:50 --> Walk back to get in bed.
- ~10:15 --> My caregiver brings a handful of my shirts & shorts, & I select my wardrobe for the day. Then, I help him slide on & up my shorts.
- ~10:30 --> My caregiver brings my walker & puts on my shoes. He then just spots me, as I walk--with my walker--to my manual wheelchair in my bathroom. There I sit at my sink to brush & floss my teeth.
- ~10:40 --> In my manual chair, I apply my deodorant & slide on my shirt. I--ONLY--motion for my caregiver to slide the back of my shirt down, before I stand.
- ~10:45 --> I walk--with my walker--out my bathroom & into my living room ~150 feet away to sit in my motorized wheelchair.
- ~11:00 to ~noon --> I perform many various UPPER body exercises with my trainer during my ARMS-workout.
- ~12:15 pm to ~12:30 pm --> I shower then return to bed to continue my writing.
- ~12:35 --> Apply deodorant, then put on tee shirt & help put on boxer briefs.
- ~12:45 --> Resume more book writing.
- ~1:30 --> Fifth/Final feeding.
- ~2:00 --> Buzz for my caregiver to bring my walker & to put on my shoes. He then just spots me, as I walk--with my walker--to my toilet to urinate, then I walk to wash my hands then to sit in my manual wheelchair to brush my teeth.
- ~2:15 to ~7:45 --> Resume more book writing.
- ~7:45 --> Buzz for my caregiver to bring my walker & to put on my shoes. He then just spots me, as I walk--with my walker--to my toilet to ATTEMPT to urinate. (I do this just because my evening nurse tends to give me alotta water. INput must equal OUTput. So, rather than wake up in the middle of the night with the urge to relieve my bladder, I TRY to get it out now.)
- ~8:00 to ~11:00 --> Watch comedic TV.
- ~11:00 --> Count sheep
